Community Care

Community Care is a group of ministries designed to help out those within the church community who are in great need. If you are in need, please contact us, and we will put you in touch with someone from Hope's Community Care Ministry:

Solace

Christ focused his time and energy on those people who were ill, poor and in painful situations. His compassion opened doorways into the hearts of all people. It was his time, his presence, and his faith that provided for those in need. He was concerned with those who needed help and he always offered them Solace in the midst of their troubles.

As we endeavor to become more like Christ, we can follow in his footsteps. We can value people that the world does not value. We can serve the people the world does not want to serve. We can embrace the sick and poor, those in crisis or pain and we can offer them hope and life in Christ.

When we are ill we are vulnerable. Sickness not only weakens the body but also the spirit. We all become fearful and realize how unimportant the things of this world are. Being ill is being offered a fleeting glimpse of what is really important. If we can come alongside those who are going through these tough times and provide what is truly important in life, then we may be able to make all the difference in the world to someone.

These are our Grandparents, Children, Friends, Co-workers and they need us to care for them. We are able to offer them comfort, peace, prayer and strength through our presence and attention. Anyone who can sit and listen can be a part of this very important ministry.

Solace is working hard to be established by late fall 2006 at Hope Church. If you have an upcoming surgery, are going through illness or end of life issues and need some people to gather around you please do not hesitate to call.

The Caring Fund

As any church grows there are many who come with physical and monetary needs. The twelve apostles were not able to stop their work of teaching God's Word in order to meet these needs. So the congregation chose a team to put in charge of this work. Recipients are often from Hope church, but we also extend assistance to others outside our church community. If you have needs which cannot be met through normal means, please let us know by contacting Hope Community Care Ministries.

Prayer Ministry

Prayer is a foundational part of the Christian experience. We believe that prayer, when offered to our Lord, changes things. There are a group of powerful prayer warriors willing to pray for any situation you might have. If there are any struggles, trials, problems, or joys you wish to share with a group of powerful prayer warriors, feel free to send your request to the prayer team.

    Food for the Journey

Hope is a place for people willing to embark on a spiritual journey, from those just investigating whether there is a God, to those who have made following Christ the priority of their life.  This is a safe place for everyone.  But safe doesn’t mean serenity.  The Bible presents a dangerous message of life change.  We don’t assume everyone believes, or even knows the Bible, but we do assume everyone who comes through our doors is open to exploring it. We believe the Bible is God’s inerrant truth and it is foundational to everything we do.
