Morning Edition

Thursday mornings, 9:15 a.m., beginning January 16

  • Option 1 - Kelley Minter's video study on Nehemiah - Nehemiah s heart was so broken for those in need that he left the comfort of his Persian palace to help them. Are you ready to let God break your heart for a hurting, lost world and move you in compassion to be the hands and feet of Jesus?

After we finish the Nehemiah study, we will be starting Priscilla Shirer's Gideon study on Thursday, March 20th - a 7 session women's Bible study by Priscilla Shirer. When we hear the name Gideon, most of us think about his 300 soldiers or the fleece he laid out under the evening sky. But Gideon's story is so much bigger than that bigger than any one man and his mark on Israel's history. Like everything else in the Bible, this is a story about God and His people - His love for them, as well as His strength operating in spite of their weakness, even through their weakness.  In what ways do you feel insufficient? Those places create the greatest opportunity to experience the sufficiency of God. Instead of ignoring, neglecting, or trying to escape your weaknesses, see them as the gifts that they are, given specifically and strategically by God to unlock the door of God's strength.

  • Option 2 - Dan Allender's To be told God’s guidance is near at hand. He is not only your Authority, he is also your Author. As God writes the stories of your life, he uses your past to open up your future.  It is your privilege to listen to your own story so you can live boldly for the sake of the Greatest Story, the good news of Jesus Christ. God reveals himself to you–and to others–through the story he has written in your life.

  • Option 3 - Beth Moore's Esther study - extended - If you've ever felt inadequate, threatened, or pushed into situations that seemed overpowering, this is the Bible study for you. Just as it was tough being a woman in Esther's day, it's tough today. This portion of God's Word contains treasures to aid us in our hurried, harried, and pressured lives.   This group will be doing the Beth Moore study every other week and meeting as a small group, building community on the opposing weeks.

To join any of the studies, register online or contact Beth Funk so that she can make sure that there are enough materials for everyone.  Payment for books will need to be cash or check. Childcare is available for all studies.
