Angie Shoraga--

I was directed to Hope by the Holy Spirit. My life was a continous roller coaster, but in the fall of 2004 it went straight down! November 23, 2004 I lost my Dad. It was hard. I drove 120 miles every other day to be with him and prayed every mile, please just one more day. My Dad's last words were, "I love you Angie Kay, I'll see you on the flip side." Then Dececember we lost our cat Charlie. In February, we lost our dog, Britini. Then April 20th, I almost lost my oldest daughter Amanda in a car accident. They said she shouldn't still be here, but I knew she had Jesus there with her. She broke her neck c-1,6&7, crushed her clavical, compound break in her left arm and paralized in her left arm, and had a collapsed lung. She was in the hospital for a month. It was hard on my two little ones because I couldn't leave her side, and I was not there for them. And then I lost my little FiFi. She was a 21 year old cat. She always knew when I needed comfort and was always there. I thought to myelf that I couldn't take it anymore, something had to change.

One day as my husband was taking me home to get the house ready to bring Manda home, I noticed a huge building being built. I asked him if he knew what they were building. Not a clue, so I told him to drive down there. All I read was "Hope."
I thought it was some new high rise, but I kept watching. Then I seen the cross. I said, "it's a new church! I would like to visit some day." I am the type of person who has to be invited in, but wouldn't you know that.

In August I got a phone call from a client that I han't seen in 5 years, it was Vickie Botrell. I was so excited to see her again. She was and still is one of my favorite hair clients. She was here for about 5 hours, we did a lot of catching up! She told me of this wonderful church that she had started to go to and how uplifting it was. I said that sounds like the church I'm looking for. I have visited a lot of churches and none seem to satisfy the thirst that I longed for. So she invited me to come. I asked where's it at? When she told me where her church was, I almost fell to my knees. It was HOPE! I couldn't believe it. I was there that following Sunday September 4th, 2005, and been there ever since. I cried so hard that first Sunday, I knew that was where I needed to be.

I have been so blessed to be so welcomed at Hope, I never get tired of telling my testimony how God works His wonders. Thank You and God Bless!

    Food for the Journey

Hope is a place for people willing to embark on a spiritual journey, from those just investigating whether there is a God, to those who have made following Christ the priority of their life.  This is a safe place for everyone.  But safe doesn’t mean serenity.  The Bible presents a dangerous message of life change.  We don’t assume everyone believes, or even knows the Bible, but we do assume everyone who comes through our doors is open to exploring it. We believe the Bible is God’s inerrant truth and it is foundational to everything we do.
