Big Stuf 2012
Once again we are going to Big Stuf. Every year this trip sets up our students and staff to be pushed to grow closer to God. Yes it is right on the beach in Panama City Beach, FL. Yes the sun, water, food is all pretty cool. But the main purpose behind this trip is the 8+hours a day we spend in study, worship, being taught to be fully devoted followers of God. Big Stuf does a great job setting us up to do just that. So if you want to have fun - COME. If you want to grow closer to God - COME. If you want to build relationship with your peers and leaders - COME. If not - stay home:) This years trip dates are listed below - cost is $650 and space is limited. CO QUEST 12
We have picked Noah’s Ark to get away from our natural environment. To get out into the wilderness, to use muscles you have never used before. This is the next step in trips for us. Last year we experienced the Boundary Waters and it was something so amazing that words don’t even give it justice. We were all pushed to experience what God created, and pushed to grow closer to him and each other. And this trip will be similar in result but different in process. Every student and adult will be pushed to get out of their comfort zone and totally rely on God through a day of whitewater rafting, a day of rock climbing, and a four day backpacking trip into the back country of the rocky mountains. We will be learning to deal with fear, adrenaline, quick problem solving, altitude sickness among many other things. To be pushed into the elements and totally have to trust on their peers and on God pushes us to grow closer to owning our own faith for ourselves. Cost is $800 which includes everything but a sleeping bag and 3-4 fast food meals.
