Local Missions
Our purpose is to encourage, enable, and celebrate involvement in local ministries of service and community development by members and attendees of the Hope Church community.
We are committed to increasing awareness of the opportunities that exist with the goal of engaging in ministries that reach out to the marginalized in our city. HIA-S is focused on advancing the Gospel and the Kingdom of God through ministries of reconciliation. We desire to partner with individuals, churches and organizations who are being Jesus to the city through Christ-like expressions of love, mercy, and justice. We want to partner with others who are addressing problems such as inadequate access to primary health services, literacy needs, education, economic development, victims of domestic violence, etc. Through this engagement we intend to represent Christ to all peoples, to be His heart, hands and feet.
Serving others, putting our faith and hope into action, is one way of taking our worship outside the walls of our church. Many individuals and small groups from Hope are involved with our Local Ministry Partners. There are always opportunities to serve in a variety of ways.
We want to help you get involved with a ministry that fits your passions, skills, and schedule.
Hope Church also supports St. John’s Breadline through the annual sale of loaves of Bread the weekend before Thanksgiving and Holy Family Food Pantry through the on-going collection of non-perishable food items. Collection Baskets are located available near each main entrance to the building.
Contact the Hope in Action Springfield Team at raginggrace@sbcglobal.net for more information regarding our local ministry partners or to get in on the action. Here are just some of the ways you can be involved.
