Neal Herr
Associate Pastor
Neal Herr is Hope's Associate Pastor. Neal grew up in the Chicago suburbs and graduated with a B.A. in Biblical and Theological Studies from North Park University in Chicago. After spending a couple of years as an executive assistant for an on-line university, Neal attended Trinity Evangelical Divinity School in Deerfield, IL, where he received his Master of Divinity in 2006. He also met his wife, Meryl, at Trinity and they were married in June 2005. She also graduated with a Master of Divinity in 2007. Following their time at Trinity, Neal and Meryl joined the staff of Christ Community Church in Leawood, KS, both as Associate Pastors, as a part of the Razor's Edge Pastoral Fellowship program. This program gives recent seminary graduates the opportunity to be mentored by seasoned ministry leaders and trained as pastors in the context of a multi-campus, suburban local church. Upon completion of his two-year fellowship program, Neal joined the staff of Hope Church in January 2010. His primary areas of ministry oversight include Adult Education, Small Groups, Men's Ministry, Hope Sports, and Hope in Action. Neal and Meryl are excited for what God has in store for them and for Hope Church.

Food for the Journey
Hope is a place for people willing to embark on a spiritual journey, from those just investigating whether there is a God, to those who have made following Christ the priority of their life. This is a safe place for everyone. But safe doesn’t mean serenity. The Bible presents a dangerous message of life change. We don’t assume everyone believes, or even knows the Bible, but we do assume everyone who comes through our doors is open to exploring it. We believe the Bible is God’s inerrant truth and it is foundational to everything we do.
