Phone: (217) 787-1446 Ext. 205

Jake and his wife Becky moved to Hope in early September 2003 and joined the team as the Youth Pastor. Before coming to Springfield, they were at First Presbyterian Church in Rapid City, SD for 4 1/2 years as their Youth Pastor and Director of Children's Ministries. Jake and Becky both graduated from Northwestern College in Orange City, IA in 1999 with degrees in Christian Education in their respective fields (youth ministry, children's ministry). Jake and Becky got married in December of 1998 and have been growing more and more in love with each passing day. They have two daughters, Hannah, who was born October 15, 2005 and Kierra, who was born March 18, 2008.  They truly love having her in their lives. They all love the outdoors, playing with their dog, Church, traveling, having the rival of Cubs and Cards (Becky - Cubs fan, Jake and Hannah - Cards fans), and spending time with their families.  Jake is also an Assistant Boys Basketball coach at Springfield High School.

    Food for the Journey

Hope is a place for people willing to embark on a spiritual journey, from those just investigating whether there is a God, to those who have made following Christ the priority of their life.  This is a safe place for everyone.  But safe doesn’t mean serenity.  The Bible presents a dangerous message of life change.  We don’t assume everyone believes, or even knows the Bible, but we do assume everyone who comes through our doors is open to exploring it. We believe the Bible is God’s inerrant truth and it is foundational to everything we do.
