I've been on staff since fall of 2005. My job here at Hope is to help folks get connected into community, because community is what makes you MORPH! (Change.) That's what Hope is all about...transforming into what God would have us be! Here's my personal story of Hope.
Sue Brinner (a long-time Hopite) was instrumental in me finding the Lord at 16. She lived in Springfield and I lived in Lincoln—she was a friend of my mom's. When Sue and I connected when I was 16, she always talked about Hope, this fantastic church that they were building and she and Gary were a part of. I remember passing it on Old Jack way back then, when it didn't even have grass yet! When I returned to the Midwest when I was 24 after a stint in LA, I looked up the church on Old Jack. I ran into Sue in the halls of Hope the first time I visited. When I ran into her that day, she asked me how I'd come to be there (she hadn't seen me for seven or eight years) and I told her—because of you! I had remembered Hope after all those years. I've been at Hope ever since.
Shannon and I have been married for nearly three years, and added Chloe Grace to our family last July. She is a joy, and we can't get enough of her!
I look forward to meeting you, and helping you along on your journey too. If I can help, drop me a line.

Food for the Journey
Hope is a place for people willing to embark on a spiritual journey, from those just investigating whether there is a God, to those who have made following Christ the priority of their life. This is a safe place for everyone. But safe doesn’t mean serenity. The Bible presents a dangerous message of life change. We don’t assume everyone believes, or even knows the Bible, but we do assume everyone who comes through our doors is open to exploring it. We believe the Bible is God’s inerrant truth and it is foundational to everything we do.
The Daily Devotional Food for the Journey.
